The chicks arrived on Tuesday 28th March 2017 and we will be keeping you updated with their progress.

Wednesday 29th March: Two chicks hatched overnight and two more have hatched since we arrived in school, so it's been an exciting morning in class 2! The first two are now settling into their new home in the brooder box while the others are still drying out and recovering in the incubator. We expect at least one more will hatch very soon. Please click HERE to see photos of the chicks.

Thursday 30th March: Three chicks hatched during the day yesterday, causing great excitement in class 2. This morning we found that two more have hatched overnight! Please click HERE to see photos of the chicks today.

Friday 31st March: Seven chicks have now hatched. From the information we have been given, it looks as if we have two girls and five boys. They are hungry, messy and very lively! Please click HERE to see the progression from eggs to chicks to date.

Monday 3rd April:  The chicks have come back from their weekend away and we can see how much they have grown.  Proper feathers are beginning to grow on their wings.  They are very lively and enjoy their food!  Please click HERE to see the chicks today.

Thursday 6th April: Apologies for the lack of updates this week - we have been very busy looking after the chicks! They are growing fast and testing their wings. Over the past few days, class 2 have enjoyed getting to know them. We wish them well as they go to their new homes later today. Please click HERE to see photos of the chicks today.
